1st shift – 6:00am-2:30pmQualifications:
- School, Trade School graduate or demonstrated equivalent skills.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of machining and/or grinding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to operate Forklift equipment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
1st shift – Set Flexible Hours2nd shift – 2:30pm-11:00pmQualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Set-up – Trouble shooting, Component Fabrication and Production of progressive, compound, four slide and secondary tooling.
- CT approved (apprenticeship completed) journeyperson
- Ability to read - understand blue prints and GDT as needed for production manufacturing.
- Working knowledge and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in production environments. Progressive stamping background required
- Working knowledge of ISO quality standards and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in a production environment.
- Familiar with Medical and Aerospace (ISO13485 & AS9100) working environments.
- An understanding of Manufacturing Engineering - Quality Engineering - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc.)
- Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods.
- Self starter with strong work ethic / production oriented.

- Ability to perform in process and first piece inspection
1st shift – 7:00am-3:30pmQualifications:

- Skills required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
- Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Experience in the use of various measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator).

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in set-up, trouble shooting, and production operation of Multi-Slide/Fourslide/Verti-Slide machines

- Ability to Set-up, adjust & operate Fourslide machines (V81 & V82)
- Working knowledge and practical experience with the use of statistical process control in a production environment
- An understanding of manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, lean manufacturing and its components (i.e. Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S, etc)
- Familiar with principles of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing and assembly
- Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing methods
- Detail and task driven work ethic

- High School graduate or demonstration of equivalent skills
- Experience in carpentry and painting required.
- Must be capable of using hand tools & electric saws safely.
- Minor plumbing skills a plus.

- Must be able to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions

- Knowledge of basic SPC charts interpretation.

- Ability to performs checks, tests, gauging, and instrument inspections of material, product in process, and finished goods.
- Prefer DSQR source inspection certification.
- Prefer GD&T knowledge
- Visual ability (corrected) to read directions and prints and to inspect parts closely to ensure that they meet specifications.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate inspection machinery for precision work.
- High school or technical school education, or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis.
- Skill required to operate gauges and testing equipment.
- Analytical capabilities to interpret detailed and complex drawings
- Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping and bending.

Apprenticeship Program
Our apprenticeship program offers paid, hands-on training for individuals interested in developing specialized trade skills. Apprentices may be recruited both internally and externally, and benefit from real-world experience while earning a paycheck. As one former graduated apprentice put it:
